HANSA Warranty
HANSA GENERAL WARRANTY CONDITIONS
Hansa grants consumers this voluntary manufacturer’s warranty for Hansa faucets and accessories in accordance with the following Hansa General Warranty Conditions ("Warranty Conditions"). These Warranty Conditions apply to all Hansa faucets and accessories purchased in theUnited Kingdomwhich you, as the original consumer purchaser, have purchased directly from a Hansa or from a Hansa authorised seller (e.g. plumbing company or specialist dealer).These Warranty Conditions are non-transferable and, as such, cannot be relied upon by anyone other than the original purchaser. All claims must be accompanied by evidence of the model, serial number and proof of purchase of the relevant faucets and accessories.
We warrant that all Hansa faucets and accessories are made from high-quality raw materials and components and that our manufacturing processes are subject to extremely rigorous quality assurance – from material selection to the finished product. All Hansa faucets and accessories are designed and manufactured in accordance with European Standards, ensuring their fault-free operation under the conditions listed in the European Standards. In addition, we warrant that all our Hansa faucets and accessories are carefully tested in our own factories before being delivered to our customers.
Please read the operating and maintenance instructions supplied with the product carefully, follow them and keep them in a safe place.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THESE WARRANTY CONDITIONS
These Warranty Conditions do not cover:
- Products that are outside of the manufacturer’s warranty periods, as specified below;
- Products that have not been fitted using original Hansa components;
- Accidental damage to the product or any non-mechanical malfunction or cosmetic damage to the product;
- Products that have not been installed in accordance with applicable laws or regulations;
- Defects caused by normal wear and tear of the product;
- Defects caused by inadequate maintenance (e.g., damage caused by dirt, lime-scale or chemicals);
- Any faults that arise due to incorrect installation or assembly of the product;
- Any faults that arise due to improperly cleaning the products (e.g., by using abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents);
- Any faults that arise due to improper use of the product or non-compliance with the operating and maintenance instructions (please refer to the operating and maintenance instructions supplier with the product or go to https://www.hansa.com/en/home for further information);
- Any faults caused by the repair of, or interference with, the products by any per-son not authorised by Hansa;
- Batteries (including rechargeable batteries); and
- Other components requiring regular maintenance.
Hansa products may only be installed in accordance with the generally applicable rules of technology in order to justify and uphold warranty claims.
TWO (2) YEARS FOR MANUFACTURING AND MATERIAL DEFECTS
We warrant that Hansa faucets and accessories are free from manufacturing and material defects for a period of two (2) years. This warranty is valid for two (2) years from the date of purchase or, if the date of purchase cannot be verified, for two (2) years as of the year/month on the product's manufacturing date stamp.
FIVE (5) YEARS FOR FUNCTIONAL COMPONENTS
We warrant that the following functional components in Hansa faucets used by consumers are free from manufacturing and material defects:
- single-lever mixer cartridge,
- solenoid valve;
- sensor; and
- thermostatic cartridge.
This manufacturer’s warranty is valid for five (5) years from the date of purchase or, if the date of purchase cannot be verified, for five (5) years from the year/month on the product's manufacturing date stamp.
We reserve the right to examine the asserted defect and the specific area of use of the faucets' functional components more closely. The manufacturer’s warranty only covers the replacement of the functional component. Further costs, such as costs for removal and installation, or the reimbursement of other losses (e.g., damage caused to your home by the breakdown of the product), are not covered by this warranty.
TEN (10) YEARS
Hansa provides a ten (10) year availability warranty for functional components and spare parts for all Hansa faucets manufactured after 1 January 2012.
This availability warranty is valid for a period of ten (10) years from the year/month indicated on the manufacturing date stamp of the Hansa faucet in which the functional component/spare part is installed.
This availability warranty does not cover costs, repairs or installation work, but only warrants that the functional components and spare parts for our Hansa faucets shall be available for purchase from Hansa during the warranty period.
We reserve the right to replace the functional component or spare part for the Hansa faucet for which the customer has made a claim with another suitable functional component or spare part.
YOUR OTHER RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER
These Warranty Conditions are in addition to and do not replace any other rights enjoyed by the end user of the applicable product and, particular, in no way affect the statutory rights that you might have against the retailer that you purchased the products from. Any claims by you against Hansa based on product liability remain unaffected.
NOTIFICATION OF CLAIMS
These Warranty Conditions only applies to defects that you report to the contractual partner or Hansa within a reasonable period of time (usually within 14 days of discovering the defect) and that fall within the abovementioned manufacturer’s warranty periods. To assert a manufacturer’s warranty claim, please contact the trader that you purchased the products from or Hansa without undue delay after the defect occurs. In addition, the type and performance of the repair work should be agreed with Hansa or Hansa's authorised representative.
