Extraordinary mixers deserve an extraordinary environment. So the Stuttgart-based fittings manufacturer developed a collection of elegant washbasins using the mineral composite Minacor as the perfect accompaniment to its three “Hansaedition” mixers, adding a new product group to its already extensive portfolio in the process. The washbasins, whose design is aligned to the characteristics of the respective series, highlight the mixers’ sheer sophistication. The fusion of mixers and matching washbasins and unusual geometric shapes ensures that these washbasin solutions for luxury bathrooms create the perfect liquid setting for H2O.
Mineral composite enables new, moulded design
Hansa presents an innovative mineral composite which creates diverse design options for washbasins. Minacor can be customised to meet individual design requirements via thermal deformation. The flexible mineral composite pushes the boundaries of innovation, permitting designs which were unthinkable with comparable materials (so-called solid surface products) until now. Even three-dimensional shapes are now unproblematic. In addition, this robust material reduces the risk of slim parts snapping off during manufacture. With their homogeneous, velvety warm surface, the washbasins treat users to both an optical and a sensory experience. Minacor’s non-porous structure makes it ultra-hygienic and easy to care for using standard household products.
Hansalatrava basin: in a class of its own
A mixer as extraordinary as the Hansalatrava excludes conventional basins from the outset. It also needs a potent counterpart. The brainchild of Hansaedition designers Bruno Sacco and Reinhard Zetsche, this washbasin, with its unique water jet, is a worthy complement to our innovative mixer. Boasting an impressive width of 90 cm, the basin continues the Hansalatrava’s geometric structure, embracing the characteristic, diagonal laminar jet. The exciting ensemble of mixer and basin sets the stage for a spectacular liquid performance.
Hansacanyon basin: like a long, soft trough of a wave
Opposites attract, as demonstrated by designer mixer Hansacanyon in combination with its matching washbasin. The mixer’s austere geometry contrasts markedly with the basin’s soft, concave surface. Nevertheless, the impression created by basin and fitting is one of perfect harmony. Like a natural, gently concave pool, the basin accommodates the water, leaving space while encircling it protectively. Another design by Bruno Sacco and Reinhard Zetsche, basin and mixer offer an extremely visual experience. The water, which is illuminated in red, violet or blue by an integrated LED lamp depending on the precise mix of cold and warm water, also puts the basin in a favourable light.
Hansamurano basin: rounded harmony
Hansamurano exemplifies a modern interpretation of ancient bathing culture. The wide flood jet pouring over the mixer’s curved glass dish is reminiscent of a Roman fountain. A matching basin echoes the elegant shape of the dish. The basin’s circular form underlines the mixer's stylish arc, while symmetrical intersections in the cubic body make it appear very light. With this harmonious design, Sacco and Zetsche create an unusual, visual play on the principle of give and take.
