Water is so much more than just a flow. It rushes, billows, effervesces, whispers, rages, pearls, dances. Hansa has always prepared the stage for water’s great performance, which it masters like no other element, with mixers that give directions to the water, producing an experience for all of your senses.
With HANSALATRAVA, there is a now a mixer which takes this philosophy to the extreme. Conventional perspectives, well-known design principles and assimilated ways of thinking: HANSALATRAVA only makes use of the familiar in order to take it to a new level. It makes no compromises, is concentrated, and is as cool as it is audacious. HANSALATRAVA makes no references, quotes no one, interprets nothing. HANSALATRAVA is a completely new archetype, original in its design vocabulary, original in the way that it presents water. It is a formal sculpture which has never been seen before. It is for those who don’t see a boundary as an end, but always as the start of something new.

- HANSALATRAVA

The asymmetry of HANSALATRAVA is no visual gimmick: it follows an internal logic which continues in the water jet. The mixer issues a strict command to the water to take a precisely constructed shape that has never been seen before: a diagonal sheet.
This is welcomed by a washbasin which has been especially made for HANSALATRAVA. Complementing its geometry, a sovereign 90 cm wide and made from innovative MINACOR, this washbasin is the perfect counterpart to the mixer, both in its shape and its material. Nothing on HANSALATRAVA is left to chance; everything is absolutely necessary. This is a new form of freedom manifesting itself.

The brilliance of HANSALATRAVA can be seen in the control of the graceful elements, in the perfection of the transitions, in the uniqueness of the water jet. The designer’s vision of a diagonally flowing sheet of water was realised by a completely new type of nozzle. This spectacular effect is, however, only achieved by the sophisticated distribution and not by the volume of water. The water consumption remains at a low level.
Incredibly slender, with a daring design, HANSALATRAVA looks quite delicate. But appearances can be deceptive. This tap is very robust, not least due to the very special way that it is manufactured. The shapes are sculpted from monolithic blocks using precision milling – comparable to the creative process in which a sculpture is produced. HANSALATRAVA is operated via a small panel, which is integrated into the form and shows the confi gured water temperature using coloured light-emitting diodes.
